Fabric Flower Craft is a great way to use your scraps

A quick little fabric flower for those of you with little girls or needing a purse adornment. Use your scraps! The fabulous scraps are from Amy Butler's Midwest Modern collection which were undoubtedly leftover from making a Girly Stripwork skirt by Pink Fig patterns!

This beautiful outfit was created by the very talented Amy.

Oliver +S 2+2 Blouse & Pleated skirt

Guess who I spent the day with?

After playing Princess bingo, reading a princess story, and playing princess dolls, we managed to take this picture.

Zoey will be ready for warm weather with this little set. It is the 2 + 2 blouse & pleated skirt from Oliver + S. I chose the short sleeve option and spring colors.

The blouse fabric is Amy Butler Midwest Modern 2 collection: Park Fountains - yellow. The skirt is fashioned from Happy Dots.

Simple to follow instructions made this a quick sewing project!

I've taken an few pictures of the blouse construction process .
Judge for yourself how simple!
This picture shows the front of the blouse with the slice cut. The following pictures show it better.

Here is the front with the slice opened.

Blouse front shown (wrong side up) and the pressed self facings.

2nd step of making the self facing; fold another time and press.
The extra wide gap will be gathered to bring the facing edges together.
A patch accent will be placed over the gathers to hide the stitching.

Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the gathering, however you can see
from the photo what that is all about.

What do you think? Easy as 1,2,3!

Make this little outfit and send me a picture. If you wish to share, I will post it here!
